Head Start Information

What is the Head Start Monitoring Support Project?

The Office of Head Start (OHS) promotes the school readiness of young children from low-income families through local programs. Head Start and Early Head Start programs support the mental, social, and emotional development of children from birth to age 5.

DLH (formerly Danya International), the prime contractor for the Head Start Monitoring Support Project since 1999, is responsible for all facets of the monitoring process, including recruiting reviewers, scheduling Head Start monitoring reviews, conducting reviews, and producing monitoring review reports.
